U.Pandey & Associates, Chartered Accountants (herein after referred to as “UPA”) is committed to maintaining the privacy of the individuals ( clients, customers, employees, contractors and other Individual ) with whom we work and / or provide services or who comes in contact with us during work.
We are committed to continued compliance with the requirements of the Privacy Act, as applicable from time to time, and enforce policy, procedures and compliance to our staff, officers and contractors.
Policy
The policy relates to "UPA" collection and handling of personal information that is covered by the Privacy Act. It is not meant to cover categories of personal information that are not covered by the Privacy Act.
This document has been prepared to explain clients, customers, employees, contractors and other individuals, the key principles that affect their privacy and to inform them to advise us, to be treated differently than as mentioned below.
Further, all the users of this web site are, hereby informed that they should not send any confidential information to us until they receive agreement, in writing, from us to perform the services, as requested by them.
Collection of personal information
UPA collects personal information from clients, customers, employees, contractors, suppliers and other individuals with whom we work and / or provide services or who comes in contact with us during work.
During the performance of our services we may need to collect personal information relating to names, job title, address, contact numbers and / or details both private and business, e mail, facsimile, date of birth, gender etc. from our clients, customers, suppliers, contractors and other individuals and such other information and / or documents from these individuals that may be of relevance to our activities.
We collect most of the personal information, directly from individuals, when we deal with them. The personal information may be provided and / or furnished, when you fill in application forms, agreement forms or such other forms and/ or documents as required.
Information can also be provided and / or collected during face to face meetings, email messages, telephone conversations, visiting the web site, sending a letter or by third parties. Moreover, we may keep a record of the contact, if you contact us.

UPA uses a range of services providers and / or associates to help and/ or guide us to deliver dedicated service to achieve excellence and to improve quality and efficiency of our business operations. Due to this, individual and / or organisations, independent contractors and / or consultants, offsite security storage providers, web site hosts, debt collection agencies, data base administrators and / or managers, outside UPA will, though need based and occasionally, have access to personal information, held by UPA and may collect or use it from or on behalf of UPA. We require all our service providers and / or associates to adhere to our privacy guidelines and not to use and / or keep personal information about an individual, for any unauthorised purpose except for the specific purpose for which we supply it.
UPA may also use overseas facilities, contractors or consultants to deliver services to our clients and / or provide certain services to UPA. As a result, we may transfer personal information outside India to countries whose Privacy Laws do not provide the same level of protection as India. However, such exchange and / or transfer of information do not change our commitment to protect and / or safeguard your privacy and we require all the third parties to strictly adhere to our privacy guidelines to meet our existing confidentiality obligations.
Accuracy of Personal Information
We are of the opinion that having correct and accurate personal information about an individual enables us to deliver our clients dedicated and best possible service. If you find that information we hold about you is not correct or incomplete or out of date, please contact us to immediately.
Further, if you wish to have your personal information deleted, please inform us immediately to allow us to take necessary reasonable steps to delete it, except where we are required to hold such information and / or details for legal, audit or such other reasons permitted by law.
Access to Personal Information
We may provide, up on request by an individual, access to their personal information pertaining to them, which is readily accessible and can be provided lawfully. However, we reserve this right in limited circumstances, in which we feel and / or permitted to us to withhold such information, for example, where granting access would infringe another person’s privacy.
We will process your request (with some form of identification such as D/L and / or other documents to verify the identity of the persons) to make available your personal information (which may be provided lawfully), within a reasonable time and we may charge an administrative fees, to cover our cost, for accessing and sending this information to you.
Security of Personal Information
UPA may store your personal information electronically (such as in our data base system, in hard copy format or in software or in such other form, depending on the requirement and purpose for which we have collected them). Some or most of the information may be made available to our staff, officers, associates and / or contractors, for use in accordance with this policy.
UPA will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect any personal information, which it holds from misuse and / or loss.
UPA follows the policy of destroying personal information, once it is no longer required for our business need or legally, to retain them.
Raise your concerns and corrections with us
We will, if are aware of any ongoing concerns or problems concerning our privacy practices, consider these issues seriously.
Alternatively, if you believe that the privacy of your personal information has been compromised, you are entitled to raise a complaint or concern with us and we will consider them seriously and respond to them sincerely.
